The Pudding Chronicles: #1, Root Beer Float

For my first pudding shot, I went with a safe one that sounded unbelievable. The first time I brought these out at a party, everyone was highly skeptical, until one brave little soul went for it, saying "It's only pudding, how bad can it be?" The resulting response from that brave little soul? He guarded the shots all night and was refusing to share. Finally, I pried the plate from his hands so others could try, and it was unanimous! Now these are also being raved over, and demanded at every party.

To make pudding shots, you stray from the directions on the box and start to get creative and experiemental. The pudding won't set properly with the added alcohol, so you need to find something to thicken it. So, the creativity unfolds. The method I found that works best uses:

1 package of Jello brand pudding (for this I used vanilla)
1/2 c Cool Whip (also helps it set lots faster)
1/2 c alcohol (root beer vodka or root beer schnapps)
1 c milk

And putting it together is super simple! Mix the jellol with the milk and alcohol first, then add cool whip, portion into cups and serve! Also, if you have extra cool whip, you can pipe it on top of the shot to make it extra cute and yummy!

Enjoy!
